29 songs is a bottling of 100% Syrah produced from a single 1.7 acre block of vines located at the southern end of the Napa Valley. After having spent fifteen seasons in wine production I am happy and proud to be able to offer this singular wine as a reflection of that experience. I first walked the site of this vineyard in 1999. In 2001, while the site was still fallow, I signed the contract for these grapes. With that in place I was able to work collaboratively with the owner of the property as we reached decisions regarding the architecture of the planting. That collaboration continued as we trained the vines into a mature vineyard and it continues today. I feel fortunate to have such a platform on which to practice the craft of winemaking.
